ls tells you what is here. find tells you what is anywhere. Learn the second one and the first stops mattering.

Task

List everything in the current directory, hidden files included.

What you need

  • lsList what is in a directory.

    ls [OPTION] [PATH]

  • ls -aList hidden entries too, the ones whose name starts with a dot.

    ls -a

Remembera for all. A dotfile is only hidden from ls; every other command sees it fine.
